                                 - Descendants -
Gus was the last child born to Joseph Thomas "Pappy" and Sarah Ann (Carter) Minter. After the death of his first wife, Sarah Zelena (Reneau), with whom he had five children, he married Martha Rebecca Atkins. They had four children. Of all the Pine Forest Minters, Gus was probably the most colorful. He was quite the story teller around Pine Forest. He and Tom White at one time operated a store in Pine Forest. He was, however mostly a farmer.
